Purple Sprouting Broccoli with Chilli, Garlic & Lime



Sprouting broccoli is a favourite of ours. Here is a simple and delicious way to serve as a side dish. Dressed with chilli, garlic and lime.To give a perfect spicy zing, to a delicious in season vegetable.
Serves 2 as a Side Dish 
Simply chop the ends off 200g of sprouting broccoli. Blanch in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, drain then shock in ice cold water. This retains the vibrant green colour.
Finely chop one chilli and 3 garlic cloves. Place them in a cup along with 2tbsp of rapeseed oil and the zest of a lime. Stir to combine.
Heat the mix in a sauté pan until the garlic and chilli start to sizzle. Add the broccoli and toss in the pan until warmed through. Squeeze in half a lime, toss again then serve.
