Elderflower Liqueur

One we have not tried before but looking forward to see how it will turn out.
Should be great for making cocktails or mixers or even straight up with ice. They say it is best to make within two hours of picking the Elderflowers to reduce loosing their aromas.

Makes 700ml/70cl
Ingredients
Enough Elderflowers to fill a Kilner Jar
700ml/70cl Bottle of Vodka
125g/1/4cup of Sugar
Method
Very simply snip off the elderflower heads close to the flowers removing as much bitter green stems as you can. Place in the sugar then over the alcohol and leave to steep for at least three months or as long as you can leave it. Shake everyday for the first week then whenever you remember after that.

Enjoy either straight up or as mixer for cocktails.
