Perfect Poached Egg


There are so many methods on how to poach eggs. Some do this others do that it gives you a feeling of should I do a chemistry degree. The answer is no as it couldn't be more simpler than this method.
Start by putting a pan of water on the heat to boil, once it has come to the boil swirl the water with a whisk. Place the egg into the centre of the swirling water and reduce the heat to low simmer.
The egg should take no longer than 1-2 minutes so make sure the rest of your ingredients are ready for plating up , after this time lift with a slotted spoon if the white looks a little under cooked just place it back in the water for a further 10-30 seconds and serve.
Nothing is more satisfying than a runny yolk.
