A British take on an American classic, accompanied by a homemade slaw & rustic chips.
Serves 2
Ingredients
250g Minced Beef
1/2 an Onion
1tsp of Dried Oregano
1 Egg Yolk
Handful of Bread Crumbs
Handful of Flat Leaf Parsley
Salt & Pepper
Ingredients for Coleslaw
1/4 of White Cabbage or Red Cabbage
1/2 an Onion
1 Carrot
3tbsp of Mayonnaise
1tbsp of Cider Vinegar
Pinch of Salt & Pepper
Method
Place the mince in a bowl then add onion, oregano, egg yolk, bread crumbs and parsley.
Season with salt and pepper then mix well. Form into two patties wrap in cling film and place in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up.
Make the coleslaw by slicing the cabbage and onion then place in a bowl. Grate the carrot into the bowl then add mayonnaise, cider vinegar and mix well. Season with salt and pepper then place to one side.
Heat a griddle pan and cook the patties between 5-10 minutes a side.
Serve in toasted buns with your choice of toppers and fillings.
